From Myra – With new leadership at the helm of the National Head Start Association, I was brought onto the team to help create a strategic planning process that involved the Head Start field itself and to guide that process. We established a wise, national advisory group – Champions of Change – and involved countless others to help. The strategic plan laid out a new direction and roadmap for helping strengthen the field, attract new members and respond to increased threats to the Federal funding of the program.
