Knowing your worlds – inside and outside

Does the leadership team understand its world, both inside and outside in the greater environment? Is the team's knowledge current and future-oriented? Is the team's view based on honest input from constituents, the marketplace and stakeholders? MPG Advisors makes sure client have this essential knowledge through value and perception audits, scans, public opinion research, competitor analysis, and focus groups.

Example: Heart disease is the number one killer of women, a fact that women know far better than medical care providers. A newly-formed national association, whose mission is to raise the level of cardiovascular care for women, hired MPG Advisors to create a strategy to inform doctors and other providers about women and heart disease and to motivate them to provide higher levels of care. Step one was to conduct three research initiatives: a national public opinion survey to measure awareness of heart disease and better understand patient behavior with their providers; a national perception audit of the medical provider field; and an unprecedented Thought Leaders' Conference that convened representatives of the major medical care provider organizations. These learnings informed the resulting multi-year strategic plan.
